Description

The property is a quick 5 minute walk to local shops to get the morning papers, and a 12 minute walk to Venus Bay’s main beach (No. 1) which is surf patrolled in the summer months.

The house itself is very warm and cozy in the cooler months (thanks to a big wood fire), and light and breezy during the Summer. There is also air-conditioning. The deck is very pleasant to sit out on in the evenings (or lie in the hammock if you prefer!)

Main Features of the House

There are three bedrooms with a large open plan lounge and dining area. Sleeping options include two queen sized beds, bunks and a single bed. There is a separate bath and shower (with a large hot water service), and a laundry with a washing machine.

On the cooking front, the kitchen is modern with lots of quality cooking/ kitchen equipment. There is a microwave oven, two refrigerators (one for food and one for beverages) and a large gas BBQ.

For entertainment there is a TV with excellent all channel reception, DVD player with a DVD library, CD player with a good selection of CD’s, and a large collection of fiction & non-fiction books. There is also an assortment of board games
and outdoor games (petanque, etc).

For children we have a child’s highchair and children’s toys. There are also two beach boogie boards.

If you have pets, the property is fully fenced for them to run around in, and there is one outdoor dog kennel.

Venus Bay - What's on Offer

Venus Bay is a small coastal settlement, nestled in vegetated sand dunes that back onto the wild waters and golden sands of the Bass Strait coastline. Close to the township, there are five superb surf beaches that are patrolled by surf lifesavers in the summer months, as well as the state's longest sand spit at Anderson Inlet, where you can find safe, sheltered beaches ideal for families and swimming.

In 1997, the coastline from Venus Bay to Cape Liptrap was declared a Coastal Park and today offers visitors the change to see such unique historic sights as the old lighthouse, as well as viewing native Australian plants and wildlife in a truly natural habitat.

Activities and Attractions

- Enjoy excellent surfing and windsurfing
- Explore the beautiful coastline with a coastal walk
- Enjoy river, surf and estuary fishing
- See kangaroos grazing near mangrove flats along tranquil Anderson Inlet
- Take a self-guided bushwalk among the tea-tree at Cape Liptrap Coastal Park and see the historic lighthouse
- Stroll along the Tarwin Lower boardwalk, which follows the Tarwin River, a good spot for fishing

Guest Reviews
Just wanted to thank you for the stay at Pandora last month. We were really impressed by the set up, particularly the little things like the coffee pot, and good cooking gear. I whipped up a melt in the mouth leg of lamb roast in the LeCreuset pot. (must get one of those)
The eclectic CD collection brought back some interesting memories!
Weather was perfect, and Belle enjoyed the freedom to roam the fenced yard without us all ways needing to check up on her.
We will definitely put Pandora on the repeat visit list.

The House was great, nice and quiet place to stay. We took our three month old baby and every thing we needed was there. The house was very clean and tidy, plenty of fire wood and the deck was a great place to watch the sun set and have a drink or two..

This was our second stay, having enjoyed the first so much. The house is comfortable and well equipped. Very family friendly and accommodates two families with ease. It is the perfect getaway for summer time with many beach choices close and equally inviting for winter evenings with a fire burning. Give it a try!

Perfect for a lazy winter getaway. The fireplace (plenty of wood provided) kept the house warm and cosy, the beds were comfy, lots of books and DVD's - had everything. Dogs enjoyed sniffing around the property after a long swim at the beach. Arrangements were made quickly and easily - love the late check out!

This is to let you know we enjoyed last weekend at Venus Bay. We thought your house was very well equipped. Deb and I appreciated the very workable kitchen. We listened to some CDs, played chess and watched The Pink Panther. The living area was spacious enough for the four of us and we loved the Vic Ash flooring.

A great place for a family to stay, it has plenty of room but is cosy at the same time. We all sleep really well as the beds were so comfortable. The shops and beaches were all in walking distance. A great place to relax.
